This is a period of tough emotional journey for those who have grappled with grief in the recent past and those thrust suddenly into the dark journey of grief in the present clime.
Anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one in the recent past suddenly finds himself at the dark end of the journey again being surrounded by the global gloom. You find yourself relieving the emotions you have managed to keep in place and now relieving the pain all over again.
The loss, especially of children is a lifetime pain that does not go away but only reduces in intensity as you live through the years. For those in this category I do encourage you with these words, “our children gained their angel wings without our consent.The pain never goes away. We must just learn to live with it and try to make our days as gentle as they can be “I daresay do not give up on life. Weeping may endure for a night but there is joy in the morning. Oh yes, give yourself a chance to bring out the best from your loss. Resist getting locked down with present global lockdown.
You must avoid going down the slope to depression. There is always a turnaround in any bad situation, so wait for it.
This period of confinement might just be what you need to rediscover yourself and your God-given assignment on Mother Earth. For those of us believers, recall the life of Jonah in the Bible. It was in a periods of confinement in the belly of the fish that he appreciated the Awesomeness of God and earned himself a second chance of life. Yes we are all candidates of a new normal life. How this evolves depends a lot on your outlook to life and belief in the supernatural to live this new life.
For those who have just experienced the loss of a loved one, please bear up. Your loved one will not want you to give up on life. Yes, do not give up on life as the confused state you find yourself in today will become clearer in days ahead.
